In-person at the Birmingham, Alabama office.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina, . I received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999. I earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
My training involves individual, family, child, and marriage/couple high conflict relationship counseling. Faith-based counseling is an option for those who find value in their faith.
I am trained in utilizing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, and DBT(Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). With couples, I explore communication styles, conflict resolution patterns, and cycles, and discover new ways of active listening while meeting needs and aligning values. Working alongside a Psychiatrist has provided invaluable experience from different views of behavioral health allowing a wider scope of treatment possibilities to assist us while navigating through your challenges.
In locating the root of the issue, I believe a holistic journey of healing from the inside out will provide a lasting, happy, and fulfilling life.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina, American Association of Christian Counselors, and North Carolina Counseling Association.

IHi! I am Christina Staley. I am a graduate intern from Siena
Heights University enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program
based out of Adrian, Michigan.
I believe every person has a story and every story deserves
to be listened to. I am dedicated to creating a safe space and supportive
environment where clients can explore their feelings and experiences. My work
with people walking through life’s challenges has allowed me to develop
tailored approaches that resonate and meet them where they are, empowering them
to navigate their emotions and build resilience.
My journey in the mental health field has been shaped by
diverse experiences, particularly working with children and preteens in foster care settings. This has deepened my understanding of the complexities surrounding, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, behavioral disorders, mood disorders, etc. This background has fueled my commitment to providing compassionate and effective care.
In addition, I have gained valuable insight into the challenges faced by family and patients dealing with dementia and the end-of-life journey and how to best care for the family. This experience has taught me the importance of empathy, active listening, and the ability to hold space for difficult conversations about life, loss, and healing.
I am passionate about helping my clients find their inner strength and resources, fostering hope and freedom to build their desired lives. We will use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients notice unhelpful thinking, reevaluate, and improve their daily lives. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is also a modality that will support mindfulness and encourage the client to develop skills to make positive changes
cognitively, behaviorally, and with daily interactions.
I am eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the well-being of those I serve in my community. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. I look forward to learning about you soon!

Hi, I’m Christina Ayers‑Klose, a trauma‑informed therapist serving clients in Alabama and North Carolina. I graduated from Liberty University with dual bachelor’s degrees in Christian Counseling and Psychology, followed by a master’s degree in Addiction Counseling. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families from many cultural backgrounds and communities, including veterans, first‑generation families, rural and urban populations, and people navigating complex identity and life transitions. These experiences have shaped my belief that healing must honor the whole person: their story, their culture, and the systems they move through. I integrate evidence‑based approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic practices to support clients facing trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and major life changes.
I offer a calm, collaborative space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is steady, compassionate, and paced thoughtfully to match your needs and your readiness. Whether you’re working through painful experiences or seeking clarity and balance, I’m here to help you build tools that foster stability, self‑trust, and resilience. If you’re ready to begin a process of growth and meaningful change, I’d be honored to walk alongside you and support you every step of the way.

I am a graduate student at Liberty University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, holding a B.A. in History from Belhaven University. Based in the Birmingham office,
I provide in-person therapy focused on collaboration, empathy, and providing a safe space for clients to heal and grow.
Drawing from rich life experience—including 23 years of marriage and raising three
children—I bring practical wisdom into my practice. As a certified SYMBIS Facilitator, I specialize in this acclaimed, research-backed Christian pre-marital assessment framework. By unpacking a couple's unique personality dynamics, communication styles, and spiritual alignment, I help engaged couples proactively bridge their differences, launch their marriage with deep confidence, and build a resilient, lifelong foundation.
Professionally, I am certified in Psychological First Aid and hold active memberships in both the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Outside of the clinic, I enjoy reading, tending to my chickens and goats, and watching British crime dramas.
